We produce a newsletter in March, June and September of each year called the "The Wraparound Bulletin." Parents and youth have a voice within Erie County 's system of care and participate in the production of this newsletter. We listen to the ideas, suggestions, and recommendation of our parents and youth who are currently or have been (in the past) enrolled in Care Coordination services through the Wraparound Process or involved in Erie County's system of care. They actively participate in many activities including:
We have created a committee of parents and youth who actively participate and attend the Social Marketing & Evaluation Committee (S.O.M.E.). This committee attend various meetings and training classes throughout the Erie County system of care and tell us what they feel is important information that should be shared with other parents or the community. They are a valuable resource and they represent the parent and youth voice in our community.

Your time and voice is valuable to us. Here is what you can expect when you join the Social Marketing & Evaluation (S.O.M.E.) Committee.

We meet at least once a month and sometimes more depending on the project the group is working on.

Parent and Youth who are not professionals receive a stipends when they attend a meeting.

They identify and gather information from meetings and share that information with us for incorporation into our newsletter or other marketing/communication materials.

You will review data and recommend suggestions to Evaluation on how best to present this information to parents and youth.

They participate in planning activities for special events such as “National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day” which we call "Celebrating the Success of our Families Day".

They exercise their creativity to help us improve written material sent to parents, youth, agencies, and the community.

They review information to make sure it is family & youth friendly.

We will work around their schedule when possible to keep our parents, youth and professional involved and informed of activities we're working on in this committee.

And, we always have refreshments at each meeting.
The S.O.M.E. Committee of parents, youth, and professionals participated in building this website and in the production of our quarterly newsletter. We continue to look for those who have an interest in marketing and data to join our team. We’re hear to serve the needs of families and youth and to keep our community informed of changes occurring within Erie County. Additionally, we value and respect each other.
